Large backyard that sloped toward the house.  The stream would start at the top of the slope and meander 30' before dropping into the pond. 

 The pond was dug into the slope which created a dramatic 30" drop.

Instead of using a typical Biofilter at the top of the stream, an upflow bog was used that provided a large area for water plants.
